Nov 28th - Amy Wormald, Expresive Acrylic
Amy earned a Fine Art degree in 2002, but it wasn’t until 15 years later that she fully embraced painting. Now living in the Cambridgeshire Fens, Amy draws inspiration from her surroundings in Ely and her experiences in various environments. She uses spray paint and acrylic to create bold, colourful paintings that aim to bring moments of joy and connection to our fast-paced lives.
Amy has exhibited widely in group shows and held five successful solo exhibitions. Her notable accolades include 1st Prize at the Cambridge Open Art Exhibition, the Holly Bush Women’s Art Prize Bursary, selection for the D Contemporary Painting Prize, and a special commendation from the Institute of East Anglian Artists. Her work was also selected for the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition in 2023 and The Other Art Fair presented by Saatchi Art in 2024.
