June 27th- Stuart Green 'Approaches to his work'
Stuart Green will give a demo on how he approaches his work, sharing the techniques and inspirations behind his unique style. Since moving to Ely in 1981, he has exhibited widely across East Anglia and Germany, with his work also finding homes in private collections across Europe and Australia. A teaching exchange in Australia had a big impact on how he works, encouraging him to try new ideas and experiment with different ways of seeing and creating.
He works with a range of materials, including acrylic, oil pastel, watercolour, and pen and ink. Sometimes, his art comes from simply enjoying being in a particular place, while other times he dives deeper, exploring the marks left by nature and people over time. It’s through this process that he discovers the colours, patterns, and textures that inspire his work.
